Gary Tope

Gary Tope brings his multi-talents as a musician, singer, creative acoustic instrument craftsman and expert sound reproduction to Southwest Michigan. A long-standing charter staff member of Riversong Music Society Tope hosted the RMS sponsored “Song-share,“ a Sunday afternoon gathering of acoustic instrumentalists, singers and listeners who joined him in a “musical circle of friendship” at The Box Factory For The Arts in Saint Joseph for several years. His skill in designing and building mandolins, guitars, banjos and all other acoustic instruments reflects the virtuosity of his interest.

Gary’s musical performance repertoire reveals a wide path of interest in folk, country, traditional, bluegrass and other specific era genre. As the official digital sound producer of Riversong’s “Live In Concert” series CD’s, Tope generously donates his time, equipment, materials and CD sales proceeds to RMS to benefit its Good Works Committee Children’s Educational Presentations. His series of CD’s featuring Riversong performers are not for public sale or reproduction and are only available at the RMS supporting members information table during RMS sponsored venues. Tope appears throughout the year as a frequent performer for RMS productions and community festivals throughout Southwest Michigan and can be heard at many area coffee houses, festivals and at the Box Factory For The Arts.
